Tyrese Bought His 8-Year-Old Daughter Her Very Own Island For Christmas
Toys are so last year, Islands are where it’s at now it seems.
“Fast and Furious” star Tyrese Gibson just changed the holiday gift-giving game after purchasing his 8-year-old daughter her very own island for Christmas.
When asked by ET reporter “What’s the most lavish or over-the-top gift you’ve given or received?”
“Well, I just bought my daughter an island,” replied the R&B singer. “She knows all about it, and the island is called Love Island.”
He wouldn’t specify its location, but said he would reveal more details on his Facebook page soon.
Shayla Somer Gibson, Gibson’s daughter with his ex-wife, Norma, accompanied her dad to the American Music Awards last month and presented an award with actor Wilmer Valderrama — but was absent from Thursday’s red carpet since it was a “school night,” Gibson said.
“My daughter gets me right every time, man,” he said. “I’m missing her tonight.”
Gibson landed “50-50 joint and legal custody” of Shayla, he told the Daily News in March — a win that led him to shelve his music career.
“This is going to be my last solo album,” he said ahead of the release of his sixth studio album, “Black Rose.”
“I hate to disappoint my fans, but daddy duties is real for me on a very personal level.”
