14-year-old on the run after stabbing 16-year-old to death
The St. Andrew North police say they are searching for a teen, believed to be 14-years-old, who can assist them in their probe of a fatal stabbing which happened on sunday night in the Grants Pen Community.
THE STAR understands that during a dispute at an ice cream shop, 16-year-old Eric Morris of a Grants Pen Road address was stabbed to death.
According to reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), Morris went to purchase ice cream at a shop in the community about 9:40pm when the attacker approached him.
During the argument, the teen used a knife to stab Morris in the chest.
Eric and the teen had reportedly been involved in a dispute the previous day.
He was rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after.
The police say their investigation is ongoing.
