Man shot multiple times during Dancehall Artiste candlelight in Hanover.

Family, friends and fans came out in the hundreds to pay candlelight tribute to dancehall artist Rhonda, who was gunned down last week. The candle lighting event, however, was not without incidence as a man was also shot and injured at the event.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 3 o’clock, the victim was attending the candle lighting for a 26-year-old female who was shot and killed last Friday.

It is further reported that the victim who is believed to be about 25-year-old was standing in the vicinity of his gate among a group of persons when he was ambushed by two men armed with handguns who open fire hitting him all over his body.

The wounded man was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he has been admitted in critical condition.

Meanwhile, online tributes continue to pour in for the talented Rhonda who never got the chance to reach her full potential. Her song “Protect Me” has gotten a lot of praises not only for her beautiful voice but also for her excellent songwriting abilities.
