Four arrested in Missing St Ann family’s disappearance

The St Ann’s Bay police are reporting the arrest of four suspects in relation to the mysterious vanishing of a family in the parish almost a month ago.

A statement from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) noted that the four men in custody were questioned in the presence of their attorneys on Saturday and are expected to be charged with housebreaking and arson.

While the whereabouts of 57-year-old Joesph Lynch, 43-year-old Lascelle Lynch, 50-year-old Ruth Lawrence, and seven-year-old Rimeka Haynes, all of Authurs Mount, Lime Hall in the parish are still unknown – preliminary investigations have alluded to the work of arsonists.

The police had launched a massive search in locating the four members of a family, who disappeared under questionable circumstances on Monday, November 16.

The family still has not been seen or heard from since.

In the meantime, the police have urged anyone knowing the whereabouts of Joesph Lynch, Lascelle Lynch, Ruth Lawrence, and Rimeka Haynes to contact the St Ann’s Bay police at 972-2211, the police’s emergency 119 number or the nearest police station.
