Popcaan says J Capri wanted to join Unruly Entertainment
After Popcaan’s performance at Hennessy Artistry 2015 in Barbados over the weekend at Kensington Oval, he told the media:
“It’s a sad situation still, but yuh know, God knows best and her accident was not good… She lose a lot of blood and thing, so I think that’s the reason why God took her still.”
“God bless her soul and I hope she rest in peace.”
For the Leader of the Unruly camp, J Capri wasn’t just an artiste, she was more.
He said, “She was my friend, my very good friend. She asked me to sign her to the Unruly Entertainment once too. She was… she is missed yuh know. Yeah, she was my very good friend.”
The 23-year old was involved in a serious car accident December 4, 2015, just 20 days before her 24th birthday to be celebrated December 24, 2015.
The young Jamaican songstress J Capri was the voice featured in some major collaborations over the last two years. Unknown to many, she contributed to big hits.
In 2013, with Konshens she gave the dancehall world, ‘Pull up to mi bumper’; and with Charly Black she made ‘Whine and Kotch’. In 2014, with the Boss himself, Vybz Kartel, she brought Mamacita and in 2015 with Chan Drizzy she delivered ‘Forgive dem’.
The tributes have been pouring in from many other dancehall artistes as well.
