Trinidad’s Private Ryan set for Electric Butterfly Music Festival
The organisers of the Electric Butterfly Music Festival have added Trinidad-based DJ Private Ryan to it’s line-up. The event, set for Pier One in Montego Bay on December 19, is the biggest EDM festival in St James.
Private Ryan gained interest in EDM in the mid ’90s and started out with one turntable and a small stack of old records. However, he now operates his own sound system, Detrimental Sound, which is quite popular in Trinidad with frequent plays on RED 96.7 FM.
The Trinidadian should deliver a strong set of hits for patrons at the festival. Private Ryan said he’s bubbling with excitement to perform in Jamaica.
“I am very excited to be performing in Jamaica. It’s been awhile and I am looking forward to that kind of atmosphere and the whole chemistry with the Jamaican people,” Private Ryan said.
The Electric Butterfly Music Festival will be headlined by Grammy Award-winning EDM/pop artiste Matthew Koma.
According to member of the promotions team, Patrick ‘Star Dust’ Hayle, the anticipation heading into festival is at its peak.
The event will also feature Florida-based Jamaican singer Toian, ZJ Liquid, Crazy Neil, ZJ Nova, Chromatic, DJ Nicco, ZJ Chrome, DJ Absolute, DJ Kentucky, DJ Rusti, DJ Face from London, Andre Airplane from New York, Bloodline and DJ Lank. The festival will be hosted by popular female media personality, Yanique “The Curvy Diva”
