Lil Kim releasing new album after 11 years
The Lighters Up hitmaker, who became a first-time mother last year, reveals she has been busy in the studio laying down vocals for the follow-up to 2005’s The Naked Truth.
Lil Kim suggests she is also close to signing a new deal with executives at Atlantic Records for the project after a recent visit to their New York offices.
The album will be the hip-hop star’s fourth solo studio release, but she hasn’t been away from the music scene completely, she unveiled the mixtapes Black Friday in 2011 and Hard Core 2k14 in 2014, while she featured on longtime pal Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ MMM compilation last month.
She has also been making a number of high-profile live appearances in recent months, joining Combs onstage at the BET Awards in June and performing with Mary J. Blige at Busta Rhymes’ star-studded Hot for the Holidays concert in New Jersey on Saturday and now Kim is teasing fans with details about a new tour.
