Man arrested for illegal firearm in Hanover

The Hanover police reported that they have seized a firearm and four rounds of ammunition during a joint police/military operation in Logwood District, Green Island, Hanover on Wednesday, December 9.

According to initial reports, the team of personnel on operation in the area between 4:30am and 9am, searched a premise. Shortly afterwards, one Colt .45 pistol with a magazine containing four 9mm rounds was found hidden among debris outside the yard.

One man was subsequently taken into custody; however his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
