It’s less than 3-weeks until 2016 and Vendetta fans can’t help to wonder what Dancehall enigma Alkaline has up his sleeves.
The Artiste has been chanting “2016” for the past few years and as the world watches we’ve observed a slight change.
The “Champion Boy” deejay recently deleted all his photos from his official Instagram account, all but three photos, two blanks and a photo of him posted 2 weeks ago.
Alkaline, real name Earlon Bartley also unfollowed everyone on the popular photo sharing app (he was only following a few friends, family and team members)
In the most recent photo of the artiste with his sister we also observed a change in his complexion.
A close source to the young artiste said Alkaline is planning to outrank Vybz Kartel in 2016.
It has already been a landmark in Jamaican Dancehall with its biggest star Vybz Kartel convicted of murder and sentenced to serve 35 years in prison.
While the steady stream of new, previously unreleased Kartel tunes will certainly continue to see the light of day throughout the year and beyond, Jamaican Dancehall is now lacking a real superstar of Kartel’s caliber.
