R. Kelly upset at Black People for not supporting his music
48-year-old Veteran R&B singer R. Kelly has a new album out called “The Buffet” (No surprise here with the name)
The album was released last Friday, December 11, and is projected to sell between 28,000 and 33,000 copies (cries in Adele)
Lost in his frustration, Robert Kelly recently holed himself up in the studio to vent about Black people refusing to support his music. He was carefully not to going into great detail as to why “Black people” are turning their backs on his releases but he still got his rant on nonetheless.
“I’ve been been getting a lot of slack from y’know from people about …um…my album or my career or things like that,” he said, stumbling over his words in efforts not to touch on the accusations brought upon him.
“I bust my a** going around doing shows to survive, but I do this for the love,” Kelly said.
“But come on, at some point we gotta start supporting each other. Everybody supports every other category of music, we gotta start supporting each other.”
Kelly, while conveniently positioned next to his debut album 12 Play platinum plaques, also touched on white pop and country artistes getting all the support they needed from their diehard fans–within their race.
