Relative tells horrific tale of health worker’s murder

The tragic, gruesome death of Ray Charles Brown has left his relatives shattered and in dismay. At the height of the Christmas season where family holds centrestage, they are still asking if he is really gone.

When news sources spoke to a close family member, she said: “I can’t believe uncle Dex is really gone. I can’t sleep.”

According to relatives, on that ill-fated night, Brown was watching sports and fell asleep in the chair, while his wife, daughter and son were in one of the bedrooms conversing.

The family member said that his wife came out of the room to have her bath when she was pounced on by men who ordered her back in the room.

“The one with the gun went towards Brown who was still asleep. Fearing for his safety, one of his children called out and Brown realised they were intruders,” the relative said.

An altercation started between Brown and the man with the gun, while his wife and daughter tried to defend themselves with the other who had the knife.

After struggling with the man, the wife was stabbed three times in the head. The daughter tried valiantly to hold onto the knife, but eventually had to let go. It was at this time that Ray was stabbed in the back allowing the gunman to fire at Brown, according to the relative.
